Message, usually text, transmitted over the
Internet and sent from one person to another (although you can also sent email to a large number of
email addresses (
mailing list )).
Electronic mail transmitted between millions of users connected on networks worldwide. Messages are exchanged instantaneously, usually at zero marginal cost to users, thereby saving greatly on national or international telephone and express mail fees.
